The Old-School Approach: Figuring Out What to Include in Your Book (& how to organize it)

It’s true that you can buy special software or install apps to help you determine the content and organization for your book. OR you can list story ideas on color-coded Post-Its on the back of the door. Ha!

Call me a Luddite if you wish, but this “system” has worked for me on every book. Do what works best for you, but remember: the process does not have to be convoluted. Look for ways to simplify so that you’ll have more energy and time to make your writing sing.
