I keep this old cartoon from The New Yorker in plain view in my writing space. The most common lament I hear from aspiring writers is that they simply do not have time to write. I call bull on that–and I should know, as I used that excuse for years until getting serious. For the writer especially, procrastination is self-sabotage.
